As you can see, we have been extremely lucky with our random picks for our first day out. I have Guy who has over 30 years experience in Bassmaster. Tim has been lucky enough to have drawn Shaw Grigsby, who is a bass fishing legend, tv host, and one of the nicest guys on tour. Dan, a fellow member in our bass club, has drawn Paul Elias who weighed the largest sack of bass for a 4 day tournament on Falcon Lake last year down in Texas. We are all extremely excited and will barely sleep with anticipation.

Our pre-tournament meeting went well. Rules and regulations were explained and we learned how to use the equipment necessary to keep the online programming updated. We received shirts and hats, a $25 dollar Bass Pros gift card, and a few packs of Berkley Sink Worms. Also, we received complimentary bottles of wine as well as a few random gifts from folks here in the gracious city of Fort Madison, Iowa.

Please visit back tomorrow to hear some stories of our day out on the Muddy Mississippi. It sounds like the fishing will be tough and low weights are predicted. I predict that the best in bass fishing will shine and find a way to catch their limits. These conditions will put the Pros to the test and I expect a ton of learning and on-the-water education will be had.

Also, we sat in a restraurant with Kevin VanDam to our right, and Ish Monroe and Mike Iaconelli sitting in the table behind us. Talk about star-struck...
